Versailles!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and Captain America:Civil War
Saturday we had a field trip to Versailles. We were there pretty much all day. We started out by exploring the garden. It's ginormous!!!!!! It would take days just to walk through the whole thing. We spent hours walking around and only covered a small portion of it. It's a beautiful garden. All I wanted to do was go horse back riding through it. That would be a dream. There was music playing, like the kind that Louis the 14th would have listened to, throughout the garden, including some opera singing. I felt like we were at some fancy wedding or tea party.  And extremely under dressed, Can you imagine what it would be like to live here? Insanely awesome. Marie Antoinette even made herself a little fake village called, Hamlet in English. She would pretend to be a peasant and herd sheep whose wool was dyed different  colors. Her peasant outfit was still colorful and made of silk though and when she would do anything such as cooking or chores she really only did half of it and if it turned out wrong the servants/ villagers would fix it and say that she did it. Quirky queen. We didn't make it that far in the garden, which is disappointing, but it had already been hours, it was raining, freezing cold and we hadn't even seen the castle yet. If there's a next time maybe. She's my favorite french queen after all. The castle was amazing. Very lavish. We didn't get to see very much of it unfortunately, but it was awesome what we did see. After the castle we walked to the new temple being built in Versailles. It was about an hour walk there and back. The temple will be awesome and beautiful when it's done. Cool to see it since we'll miss the dedication. After the temple, we left Versailles to catch Captain America:Civil War in a french theater. It came our in April in France. It doesn't come out till May fifth in the US. Just rubbing it inn a little guys. Without giving any spoilers, the movie was awesome!!!!!!! The whole time I was like, "No, stop fighting, you're supposed to be friends, let it go, agh!!!" I laughed and I wanted to cry. Those two and half hours went by fast. We went back to Croissy after getting some groceries so we don't starve and Celebrated Natalie's birthday  before going straight to bed. We were exhausted. Great day.

Example of how big this garden really is. This picture doesn't even show it all. Amazing.
Me in front of awesome fountain with water shooting out of the mouths of turtles and fish. Very pretty and made of Gold. No big deal.

The gang walking through the garden maze. Yes i'm being serious.

Found this cool looking plant/bush thing by one of the huge fountains. It
s pretty awesome. How do they do that? I don't know. Wires?

Poseidon's fountain. Pretty big and pretty awesome. He's one of my favorite Greek Gods.
This is a map of the Garden from the castle. It's HUGE! I want it!!!! We could have time period balls. It would be soo fun!!! We could play villagers.

I don't know the story behind this one. I just thought it was funny that he was getting his butt bit off by a lion. Immature? Maybe. Still funny.
Group picture in front of le Chateau. I love how this one turned out. Carson is better than any selfie stick.

Pictures from inside the castle. It's pretty amazing in there. I've only posted about half of my pictures here. I'm too tired to post a lot of facts about each room, but know that important people did important things in each room. :)
Hall of Mirrors.

Me listening to my audio guide in the hall of mirrors.

My favorite Greek goddess: Artemis. I've actually gotten pretty good at knowing who is who without being told or reading the signs. Each figure has classic props or symbols with them after all.
The picture on the right is the Louis 14th's bed. Above his bed, in gold is the symbol/lady of France which symbolizes France watching over the sleeping king.
These are fancily folded napkins!!!!! Can you believe it? That's some insane skills right there.
Stairs of Princes

Giant fire place!!!! They were all over the castle.

Me at the temple site!!! Can't wait for it to be finished!!!
Random monument seen walking to train station.

Awesome old looking cemetery is behind this wall!!!

Random statue of some important dude who I've never heard of.  :)
